Session Description:
Budget cuts shouldn't mean the end of engaging adult services. It’s time to stop waiting for a grant and start looking behind the supply closet door. This hands-on workshop demonstrates how to transform standard library staples like paper scraps, tape, weeded books, and leftover art supplies into creative projects designed specifically for adults. Participants will rotate through several stations designed to spark inspiration using what is likely readily available in your library right now. We will repurpose ordinary office supplies and discarded items into fun, hands-on activities that prove you don't need a large budget to foster deep engagement. Beyond the crafting, we’ll discuss how these low-barrier programs serve as a powerful tool for building community connections. You’ll leave with a toolkit of versatile program templates and the confidence to provide high-quality programming without a single purchase order. Just bring your imagination and a key to the supply closet!
