Social Media

Christina is an experienced social media and web presence specialist who has applied expertise she’s honed through practical multi-platform campaign design that amplifies the work in her communities of practice.  She’s not only executed sustained content for the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (2021-present), Central Texas Teen and Kids Comic Con (2017-present), Reading with Pictures (2021 - present), Young Adult Round Table (2019 - 2022), Round Rock High School (2016 - 2021), and Dragon Library (2013 - 2021) but also produced content for singular events such as the Texas Library Association’s 2019 Tech Camp. In various capacities, she’s frequently had the honor of being an online influencer—not only promoting an organization’s execution of its charge but also optimizing this megaphone, using it in support of under-represented voices and the stories that they have to tell.

In fact, being the co-founder and a steering committee member of a library based comic con has required her to use social media marketing as the vehicle for bringing together a broad cross section of her passions—literacy, graphic literature, education, youth outreach, community engagement, and organizational infrastructure. To make the event a truly effective force for aiding youth to become lifelong recreational readers using comics and graphic novels, the event’s leadership team had to build a community of interest—connecting creators, educators, students, and local citizens. Beginning with a core of educational and creative contacts, Christina staked out beachheads on major social media channels and established best practices for identity, brand management, and content standards. Drawing in participation from the creative participants to leverage their own networks and promote their sessions in addition to those of others was a major breakthrough in terms of driving interest from multiple intersecting communities and fandoms.

Over time, she’s sharpened these techniques to improve successive iterations and transfer these skills to other contexts.
